ready to rumble~

The shelves are full ...

The minnow tanks are stocked ~

WE ARE READY for the opener of the Wisconsin 2008-2009 FISHING SEASON !! Come on in Saturday for the freshest, liveliest bait available in the area.  Our bait catches fish or it will die trying!

~~~~~~
Spring has finally sprung in northern Wisconsin.  Unlike the southern states and even southern Wisconsin the winter months really like to linger on here sometimes.  In a matter of a week the snow has FINALLY melted off and the lawns are starting to green up.  The flower beds are ready to burst into new life.
I personally am thrilled!!!  I like the winter months but not when they want to stick around  into the month of April let alone May!
Sadly, I do have to let you fishermen know ... some of the bigger bodies of water STILL  have ice on them! But that too can change in a day depending on Mother Nature.  No matter what, the water is cold so please please please use caution while boating to avoid accidents and the chance of hypothermia.  Also, be cautious of under water ice on lakes that LOOK like they are all open.  Please have a safe fishing season.
~~~~~

This morning I  planted up some of my hypertufa pots that I made.

I am so happy with the way they turned out.  I definitely will be making  more of them.

I like your hypertufa pots too. They are larger than appeared in your recent photo and they look good. I know you are ready for some gardening!

I'm so glad to hear that spring has finally sprung in your part of the states. It's seems winter gets a bit greedy sometimes and don't want to leave.

I love the pictures of your baitshop. I'm always enthralled by the vast varieties of baits & lures. Believe it or not, Bass Pro Shops is one of my favorite places to go whenever we're near one of the big ones. It's just amazing.

Those sure are pretty plants, is the one by the driftwood a chicken & hen? I love succulents like that. We have a sedum that's about 18 inches tall and bushed out at the base. Guy's grandma gave it to us years ago, It makes about four color changes a year. It's quite an interesting plant.

I love your hypertufa pots they are fabulous. I love the look they give of antiquity and beauty. To me their style is Soothing... ahhh...

Wishing you a fun filled fishing weekend!

Thank you for your compliments on my flower pots. Dee, the plant by the driftwood is Joy of Autumn Sedum. It's the one that gets about 18 inches tall and purplish blooms on it. That sedum you mentioned from Guy's grandmother sounds interesting. Succulents are pretty cool plants. I like how you can neglect them and they'll still keep on growing.
